The Island Sweet Skunk is a great sativa based strain. It has the capability to produce huge yields with the right growers. The quality of the finished buds are second to none. Both times the ISS was entered in the BC Harvest Cup by Next Generation Seed Company it won 1st place. Even a badly grown batch of ISS is better than most other well grown pot.
ISS grows very fast and can easily stretch over an inch per day. A seedling or clones can stretch at least 18 inches in the first 2 weeks of flowering. Sea of green growers can flip rooted clones to bud with little or no time under 18 plus hours of light. Most other production clones need 1-2 weeks under veg lights before they can be put into the bud room. Growing with ISS you can skip this step and put the baby clonea right into flower using hydroponics.
Amazing buds and killer yields when grown outdoors below the 40th parallel. Over a pound a plant is very common, anywhere from Kansas to Columbia. Even in cooler climates in a greenhouse or forced flowered, ISS does great. It always has that signature sweet sativa smell and vigorous growth.
Island Sweet Skunk uses lots of nitrogen and all other nutrients when its young and early in flower(first 3 weeks). It will take a heavy dose during this time, but by the time its 3 – 4 weeks into bud cycle return back to just below regular strength. Remember to allow 3 weeks instead of the standard 2 weeks of flushing on this strain. Leaching takes longer than some other strains and the quality will improve with a better flush. More Trichomes are really evident when it’s rinsed clean for at least 3 weeks.
