Thank you for researching the strains of the Next Generation Seed Company. I have been working hard at my favorite passion and career over the last decade and I know you will find a seed selection to suite your taste. These strains have enriched my life and can enrich yours too. Marijuana growing is one of the most rewarding things I could have ever chosen to do. Watching nature’s patterns year to year, the changing weather and the anticipation of a successful harvest. I wouldn’t trade it for any other way of life. British Columbia, Canada is a great place to live for someone like myself. I’m a compulsive collector at heart and have been a collector of fine cannabis strains for over 10 years now. I’ve had the pleasure of trying over a hundred different varieties; seed company strains, landrace strains, and clone only strains. Not to mention the many hybrids in between.

I first started in the seed world as co-owner of Federation Seed Co. The partnership didn’t last long, only about a year. We had a difference in goals, he wanted to be Emery’s star seed supplier at any cost, I didn't. Soon after I left to start over with my own company with the strains I liked and the seeds that where proven. Some strains I now breed with are from back in the Federation days, but much of my breeding projects are with fresh genetics.

In 1998, I started Next Generation Seed Co, I began distributing my seeds through Kindseed in Vancouver. They have always had an excellent record on integrity and the quality of the seed they sell. I was happy to find honest people in the business and wish to thank them for their support over the years. Kindseed hosted the BC Harvest Cup for several years in which our Island Sweet Skunk won 1st place, twice. Diablo and Timewarp have also place well in BC compititions. Our Diablo was named one of the “strains of the future” by High Times Magazine.

After starting Next Generation, I moved to Vancouver Island to a small farm. This is where my Breeding really started. Over the next few years I became friends with a lot of local growers gathering the good local clones, and of coarse the starting of breeding my own varieties. Over this time I did a lot of outdoor breeding and research patches. I tried lots of different Dutch, Canadian, Hawaiian, and African strains in the first few years and developed some of my own strains from the best from these. Some of these strains have only been released a short time ago, after years of selecting and breeding. The Durban, Timewarp, and Bonkers have been in my personal breeding collection and selected from at least a minimum of 4 years outdoors.

I've never been the kind of grower looking to get ahead at growing big sensi crops, I concentrate my efforts on breeding and improving my gene-pool. I’m a compulsive collector at heart and a lover of fine cannabis. My main vegative room has nearly 40 different strains kept in permanent vegetate state. Keeping all these strains going for years can be quite the task. This veg space has 3 - 1000 watt lights and covers over 250sqft. just for keeping duplicate mothers alive... Plus duplicates of our most prized males for when their stud services are needed. A seperate nursery keeps the budrooms, greenhouses and pollen chambers supplied with fresh plants.

I grew up on a Canadian prairie farm with hard work from dusk ‘til dawn and that’s the dedication brought to my seed breeding projects year after year. Breeding is done on a farming scale with large crops of seedlings grown out for parent selection.  In order to insure the best genetics for the next generation, I carefully select only the best of hundreds of possible parents and test the offspring before releasing seeds to the public.

All our strains are grown year-round indoors under lights and have been tested for possible accliamation outdoors, some thrive, some don't we know what works. However my favorite way to grow cannabis is in large greenhouses. Some of my seed strains are now bred in greenhouses, the extra space means many more seeds can be grown out for selecting the perfect parent. Most of our new outdoor strains have over 4 years of selective breeding from a minimum of 100 seedlings per strain, per year.

Now I have gathered genetics from all over the world to add to my collection. I’m excited to be playing with some new landrace sativa’s from different parts of Africa, and several others from the Caribbean. The search never ends for special genetics. Greenlifeseeds is the official home of my breeding collection and has allowed for a great display of my work.  Jorge Cervantes has featured our strains and photo’s in High Times Magazine and filmed portions of the “Ultimate Grow DVD” in our growrooms. Watch for our Greenhouses and bud pictures in Skunk Magazine and Cannabis Culture.  Look for our strains coming soon to European shops!

We are now celabrating 10 years in Cannabis breeding . Thank you for your support!
